YOUTH GROUP ACTIVITIES
REC - Recreation Group (REC) is for young people ages 12-18. It focuses on exploring recreation activities in the community. Our team encourages youth to get out, get active and meet new people. REC meets every Monday, from 4-5:30PM on a drop-in basis (excluding statutory holidays). No referral or registration necessary!

TAG - Teen Activity Group is geared towards youth ages 12-15 who are interested in connecting with a positive peer group. Youth will have the opportunity to participate in recreational and art-based activities out in the community and at the South Vancouver Youth Centre (SVYC) at no cost! (A Ministry of Child and Family Development (MCFD) referral from your social worker is required in order to participate in this program.) TAG meets every Wednesday evening from 3:30-6:30PM!

Youth Advocacy & Leadership Program (YAL) - YAL is a youth-driven group, focusing on empowering youth to be leaders in their communities. Activities include providing feedback for SVYC programs, volunteering in the community, learning about their rights, meeting new people, and using their voices to create positive changes. Please contact us for the next YAL training schedule.

Sports Hacks - Designed to build community and foster inclusion through creative new ways to stay healthy and fit. Activities are accessible while also challenging enough to push youth to discover new ways to grow in dexterity and strength. Some past examples include Disc Golf at Queen Elizabeth Park, Golf at the Driving Range, Spikeball in the Park, and Bowling. Sports Hacks meets every Friday from 4-5PM. No referral necessary.
